We have a large number of young mares that
have been under lights and will be ready
to receive Embryos soon after the first of the year
and will be available through the entire breeding
season.
All recipient mares have had a fertility evaluation:
have been appropriately vaccinated and on a routine
de-worming program.
No matter what your needs are a small cutting mare
or a very large warm blood we have mares that will
fit your needs.
When you receive your recipient mare they will
halter and load in the trailer.
A large percentage of our mares are
registered and have been broke to ride.
So they are reasonable to handle.
Transfer
The embryo is placed carefully in the recipient
mare's uterus using a sterile pipette.
We look for one mare whose reproductive cycle
matches the donor mare's.
The recipient mare remains under watchful care
during the most critical period. She is tested to
confirm pregnancy at 15 days and again at 25 days,
and periodically after that.
